Photo 1
I selected this photo because it is one of the most visually appealing. Compositionally, there is a lot of movement because i used shutter speed settings while photographing moving lights. Also there is a changing of colors shown by the different colored lights. To take this photo I had the camera set on shutter speed and the lights were off.

Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the mood of the model. There is also a dramatic affect shown due to the lights coming from the right side. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the contrast and brightness to put more emphasis on her face and flowers. The white balance was set to florescent lighting. This photo communicates a dramatic yet happy mood.

Photo 3
This photo was taken for the aperture assignment. What I like about this photo is the depth between the two objects. My point of view was directly in front of the objects. The photo follows the rule of thirds because the ring is in the bottom 1/3 and the sea shell is in the top 2/3. The depth of field is shallow and the White Balance was daylight.

Photo 6
This photo was taken for the line and shape assignment.
What I like about this photo is how adorable the dog is!!! I also liked how the light reflects on her face. My point of view was directly in front of the dog and a little above her face. The photo Follows the rule of thirds because the cage takes up the entire photo and the dog is centered in the center of the photo. The depth of field is large. The lighting was natural sunlight and was taken indoors. |
